A three-day Field Finance Assistant (FFAs) review meeting (2-4 March 2016) to update on the progress of implementation based on the quarterly work plans was held at UNOPS Myanmar Yangon office.
It was attended by Dr Myat Myat Moe from the National TB Programme, Department of Public Health together with Dr Attila Molnar, Programme Director, PR-GFATM and UNOPS PR team.
Managed Cash Flow (MCF) is a service to the National Health Programmes to facilitate their management of implementation of their own programmes and works in close collaboration with and under the guidance of the National Programmes.
To implement Manged Cash Flow, forty-three UNOPS Field Finance Assistants (FFAs) are based in their duty stations at State/Regional Health departments across Myanmar.
The objective of the meeting was to provide a platform for discussion based on the quarterly workplans for the Global Fund supported AIDS, TB and malaria (including RAI) activities as well as the 3MDG Fund supported TB active case finding, MDR-TB related activities, and maternal newborn and child health activities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for FFAs to receive guidance on latest developments and adjustments in Procurement and Supply Chain management (PSM), Managed Cash Flow (MCF) processes and guidelines and to refresh their knowledge in UNOPS corporate rules and developments in all areas of support services including the procedures related to the newly launched One UNOPS system which is an integrated platform replacing almost all of the systems used before.
